Continuing Care After the OHSU Pain Clinic Program Changes

Pain Management Center

Now that Rolfing® is no longer at the OHSU Pain Center.....

In 2016, OHSU opened the Center for Health & Healing Pain Clinic, offering an innovative, opioid-free approach to chronic pain management. Services like chiropractic care, massage therapy, acupuncture, and Rolfing® Structural Integration gave patients non-invasive, integrative options for relief.

However, due to the merger with Legacy Health in 2024, all of these alternative care treatments were removed from the program as of January 2025. This sudden change left many patients without access to the care that was helping them live more comfortably and avoid reliance on prescription pain medications.

Why Non-Opioid Pain Care Matters

From personal experience, I understand the importance of staying off pain medications whenever possible and using them only as a last resort. Non-allopathic, integrative treatments like Rolfing® and massage therapy can often address the root causes of pain—improving function, reducing discomfort, and supporting long-term wellness without the risks of dependency.

At Body Balance Rolfing and Massage in Beaverton, OR, I bring decades of experience working with people suffering from complex, chronic pain. My approach combines Rolfing® SI with precision-based bodywork to help restore balance, reduce tension, and improve mobility.

Welcoming Former OHSU Pain Clinic Patients

Several individuals impacted by the OHSU Pain Clinic program changes have already found their way to my practice—and I’m truly grateful they did. If you’ve been left without care due to these changes, you are welcome here.

I am in-network with several insurance providers, including MODA. To see if your health insurance covers Rolfing® with me, please fill out this form.
