🚫 We are NOT providers for:
We do not accept insurance from the following providers due to contract restrictions or low reimbursement rates:
- Providence (as of 2026)
- Cigna
- United Healthcare
- Kaiser
- Aetna
- GEHA
- OHP (Oregon Health Plan)
- Medicare or Medicaid
- Other insurance companies not listed above.
If your plan has out-of-network benefits, we can provide a Superbill so you can submit for reimbursement directly.
✅ Jenny is IN NETWORK with:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- MODA Health
- Providence Health Plan (but cannot guarantee coverage)
- VA Community Partners
While being in-network increases the likelihood of coverage, Jenny is not in all Networks within any given health insurance plan. Also, even if we can successfully bill your health insurance plan, most plans will only cover a portion of each regular session, meaning that you will need to pay the balance. (This is not “balance billing.”) To confirm if your specific plan covers care, please verify insurance coverage prior to scheduling with the button below. We will email you with details of your coverage within two weeks.
Providence Health Plans just cut coverage in September 2026 (mid plan year), so we can no longer bill, even though Jenny is technically still in network. We are happy to give you a receipt so you can submit and try to get reimbursement, but we don’t know if this will work.
Will Insurance Cover Rolfing® in Beaverton, OR?
At Body Balance Rolfing® & Massage, we understand that navigating health insurance coverage for Rolfing® and manual therapy services can be complex. While Rolfing® is a brand name and may not be explicitly covered by insurance, we use standard billing codes for “manual therapy” and “massage therapy” to help clients receive reimbursement when possible.
Our posted rates (on the scheduler) reflect the discounted rate when paying at the time of service, with cash, check, Venmo, and debit or credit cards.
Insurance fees are based strictly on the local fee schedule for manual therapy, massage therapy, etc. and they change as the fee schedules change (which we can discuss).
We NEVER want finances to be the thing to keep you from the bodywork you need. Please let us know if you have financial concerns — perhaps we can work out some creative way to handle the fees.
Digital Gift Cards are available all year in any amount. You can order them here:
Understanding Health Insurance Billing & Payments
What Insurance May Cover
Rolfing® is billed under standard medical codes for:
- Manual Therapy (Physical Therapy Benefits)
- Neuromuscular re-education (PT benefit)
- Gait Training (PT benefit)
- Massage Therapy (Separate Benefit)
Since physical therapy benefits are often grouped with other services like chiropractic and acupuncture, we need to confirm your benefits before treatment. Verify Your Insurance Coverage Here – It may take up to 10 business days to process.
Out-of-Pocket Costs & Deductibles
- Even if insurance covers a portion, you may still have co-pays, co-insurance, or uncovered balances.
- If your deductible has not been met and needs to be in order for your benefits to begin paying, you must pay the time-of-service rate of $230 per session. Jenny is happy to still bill your insurance so that your insurance could apply the “allowable” amount to your deductible (this is up to your insurance company).
- Most health insurance plans only cover 60 minutes per session. Regular Rolfing® sessions are 75-90 minutes, so there will be an additional charge of $130 for the extra time in addition to whatever co-pay or co-insurance you have for the first 60 minutes.
- Jenny has recently created “Mini-Rolfing®” sessions which is about 53 minutes. This is to minimize your out of pocket costs when billing your health insurance. Since this session is considerably shorter, only one (possibly two) body areas can be treated per session. Please feel free to reach out to Jenny to discuss this further.
Pre-Authorization, Pre-Approval, & Referrals
- Some plans require pre-authorization for manual therapy and/or massage therapy.
- If needed, this process can take up to two weeks—please plan ahead.
- Some plans also require a referral in the form or a prescription. This needs to worded very specifically, so use this example, but also please discuss this with Jenny. (“Manual and/or massage therapy for ____ number of visits, 90 minutes each session.”)
Contact Us if you have any questions about any of this.
Motor Vehicle Accident & Workers’ Compensation Claims
If you were in a car accident or have a workers’ compensation claim, Jenny can bill your insurance directly, but:
- A prescription is required (must be written VERY specifically—please discuss before scheduling). (“Manual and/or massage therapy for ____ number of visits, 90 minutes each session.”)
- Insurance companies determine medical necessity—not all claims are approved.
Flexible Spending, Health Savings Accounts & Payment Options
We Accept:
- Cash, checks, debit, & credit cards
- Flexible Spending Plans (Benny Card) & Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
- Venmo & other digital payments
We can also provide detailed receipts for tax purposes or HSA/FSA reimbursement.
💰 We NEVER want finances to keep you from the care you need. If you have concerns, please talk to us—we may be able to find a creative solution!

Important Insurance Considerations
- Billing insurance is NOT a guarantee of payment—you are ultimately responsible for uncovered costs.
- Insurance payments do NOT apply to cash rates—we must bill at insurance-approved rates.
- If you are seeing multiple providers on the same day, your insurance may not cover more than one session—check your plan details.
Get the Most Out of Your Insurance Benefits
- Check your plan benefits before scheduling.
- Submit out-of-network claims if applicable.
- Use HSA/FSA funds for easy payment.
- Be prepared to pay a balance if insurance only covers part of your session.
